Kazakhstan's National PR Association joins ICCO

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - National Public Relations Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NASO) has become the latest member of the International Communications Consultancy Organization (ICCO).

Chairperson of the NASO's Council Svetlana Krutskikh announced the news at a press conference in Almaty on Thursday. According to her, the news of Kazakhstan's membership was officially confirmed at the ICCO Summit in New Delhi in October. "Accession to ICCO will allow Kazakhstan to become a part of the world PR community and significantly improve the development of communications industry in the country. Industrial standards, management issues, in-depth research, markets overview and many other instruments used by the world's PR agencies will become available to Kazakhstan," Ms Krutskikh said. President of Kazakhstan Press Club Assel Karaulova, in turn, stressed that this event is of paramount importance. "It will give a new impulse to the development of domestic PR market and boost Kazakhstan's international standing," she added. ICCO is a global organization uniting national PR associations in 30 countries (including Kazakhstan) across the globe.
