Kazakhstan's Maneza became two-time world champion in weightlifting

TALDYKORGAN. September 21. /Sandugash Duisenova/ Sportswoman Maiya Maneza from Almaty region has become a two-time weightlifting world champion on September 21 in Antalya, department of tourism, physical culture and sports of Almaty region informed.
24-year-old Maya Maneza set a new world record in the clean and jerk by lifting 143 kg. The champion scored 248 kg in the double-event.
Besides M. Maneza, Kazakhstan was represented in the championship in Turkey by 2009 world champions Vladimir Sedov and Svetlana Podobedova. They will participate in the tournament on September 22.
