Kazakhstan's innovation output up several-fold
ASTANA. KAZINFORM "The volume of innovative products of Kazakhstan has increased by several times over the recent years. Innovation activity of the country's enterprises has doubled," Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev said taking the floor at the IX Innovation Congress.
"There are lots of tools for the development of innovations. We lent support to more than 400 scientists, startup companies and young entrepreneurs. Expenditures for technological innovations of enterprises grew by seven times, innovation output increased by several times while innovation activity doubled," he added. According to him, the key is to transfer technologies to the priority sectors of economy. "Kazakhstan ranks now 70-80th in the international innovation rankings against 100th position we have occupied a couple of years ago. It is a good result," he stressed.
