Kazakhstan's inflation at 0.2 percent in March
ASTANA. April 1. KAZINFORM Inflation in Kazakhstan in March 2013 amounted to 0.2%, according to the press service of Kazakhstan Statistics Agency.
"Inflation in Kazakhstan in March 2013 was 0.2%. Prices for food and non-food products increased by 0.2%," the press release reads.
So, in the past month, prices increased by 2.3% for pearl barley, by 0.6% for pasta, eggs, by 0.5% for fish and seafood, fruit and vegetables, by 0.4% for rice, dairy products, pasteurized milk, tea, by 0.3% for bakery and pastry products. Prices for buckwheat decreased by 1%, sunflower oil - by 0.2%. Diesel prices rose by 6.3%.
In addition, prices for health services grew by 2.3%, for pre-school education - by 0.4%. Telephone and fax services cheapened by 7.8%.
In the sphere of housing and communal services tariffs for waste collection increased by 7.6%, sewerage - by 7.2%, cold water - by 5.7%. Prices for hot water, central heating dropped by 0.3%.
