The Minister reminded of the industrialization held during the soviet time and its impact on the environment of Kazakhstan. "In fact, enterprises have environmental impacts everywhere. Thus, the Head of State urged to bring the program of industrialization in compliance with the international environmental requirements," N. Ashimov noted.

According to him, the Ministry's work is aimed at consistent introduction of international environmental standards, but in the way that will not obstruct the country's industrialization.

"We have introduced a bill "Zhasyl damu" to the Government and to the Parliament this year. The document imposes tight restrictions on the operation of enterprises related to waste, emissions to air and water, the Kyoto Protocol, disposal and flaring of gas", N. Ashim resumed.
