Kazakhstan's grain export to Azerbaijan raised fourfold - Kazakh Ambassador

BAKU. December 15. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serik Primbetov participated today in a press conference devoted to the Independence Day of Kazakhstan. According to him, in 2010 Kazakhstan's export of grain to Azerbaijan rose fourfold having reached 963, 000 tons.
However, he added, that following the global financial crisis goods turnover between the two states reduced and made USD 257 mln in January-September 2010 while in the same period in 2009 this figure was KZT 450 mln.
Nevertheless, as S. Primbetov noted, Baku Grain Terminal Azeri-Kazakh joint enterprise functioned quite well. There is a modern flour mill in its territory producing high-quality flour.
