Kazakhstan's gold and foreign currency reserves above USD 85 billion

ASTANA. June 12. KAZINORM  "Gold and foreign currency reserves of Kazakhstan make more then USD 85 billion," Deputy Chairman of Kazakh National Bank Bissengaly Tadzhiyakov said in an interview with mass media.

According to him, there is no reason to worry about the Kazakhstan's tenge rate. Since devaluation in 2009, the Kazakh tenge has been sustainable over three year. For this period the tenge fell by only 0.3%.

"The situation in Kazakhstan is normal, export potential is good too - for 4-5 months it grew 23-24%. Gold and foreign currency reserves are above USD 85 billion" B. Tadzhiyakov concluded.
