sp;ASTANA.  November 25. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ Kazakhstan's gender policy is efficient and progressive, Chief of the OSCE Center in Astana Alexander Kelchevskiy said at the international conference entitled Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE: gender aspects today.

Adoption of the laws On prevention of domestic violence and On state guarantees of equality of women' and mens' rights and freedoms by the Parliament is undoubtedly a successful step towards ensuring gender equality in Kazakhstan, Kelchevskiy considers.

Among the participants of the conference are the deputies of the Parliament, representatives of state bodies, political parties, international and non-governmental organizations, heads of the embassies accredited in our country.

The attendees will focus on the prospects of further development of gender policy in Kazakhstan and will discuss the issues of raising women's competitiveness on the labor market including the opportunities of management of capital of large business. Foreign experts will be presented 2006-2016 Gender Equality Strategy and the prospects of formation of Kazakhstan's model of gender equality ensuring.
