Kazakhstan’s first joining tank competition in Russia
EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGION. June 7. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan is taking part in tank competition in Russian for the first time this year, says Alimzhan Erniyazov, the Chief of the combat training department of the General Staff of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces.
"This year, by the decision of the Defense Minister, tank platoon of the 11th Tank Brigade, a military unit number 10810, Ayagoz garrison of East Kazakhstan region, will represent Kazakhstan at the competition in Russia. That training has already begun. I have talked to people who are selected for this arrangement. I hope that our famous tank brigade will not let the armed forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan down and will take the worthful place in Russia", said A.Erniyazov answering the questions of journalists'.
As believed by him, the armored event in Russia will be held early August the current year. "The northern neighbors have large representation. There are more than 36 platoons which will be participating in tank biathlon. Such competitions are carried out for the first time in Russia, so the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan has decided that we should join it too", concluded A.Erniyazov.
