Kazakhstan's first Belarusian-design energy-effective home in January 2014
MINSK. December 18. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan's first energy-effective residential house, which is being built using a Belarusian design, will be commissioned in January 2014. The information was released by Vladimir Pilipenko, Director of the state-run Housing Institute NIPTIS of the Belarusian Architecture and Construction Ministry, at the international scientific and practical conference held in Minsk on 18 December, BelTA has learned.
According to the source, the design to build the house in Kazakhstan was developed by the Belarusian institute in association with a design institute of Kazakhstan in 2011. The design approval was difficult because the local civil engineering industry was not entirely ready to accept the technologies that Belarus takes for granted.
Apart from that, the Belarusian experience of designing and building energy-effective homes is in demand in Russia. An energy-effective residential house has been designedby the Belarusian side for the Russian city Belgorod. The building is nearly ready for commissioning, said Vladimir Pilipenko, BelTA reports.
The director of the enterprise also mentioned the development of the concept for energy-effective housing construction in Belarus. In line with the concept by 2025-2030 the consumption of energy for heating and hot water supply has to be reduced by 20%. By 2050 the use of unconventional renewable energy sources has to rise drastically while Belarusian houses are supposed to become environmentally friendly and safe. For the sake of implementing the concept it is necessary to clearly determine standards, rights and obligations of citizens and investors, said the executive. Effective control is needed. He went on saying: "Our institute in association with the Energy Effectiveness Department is working out a set of measures to step up control and introduce sanctions for violations," stressed Vladimir Pilipenko.
