Kazakhstan's Embassy in Berlin hosted a round table with the participation of heads of government authorities and economic associations in Germany

ASTANA. October 1. KAZINFORM On September 30, the round table on discussion and enhancing the economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Berlin with participation of heads of ministries and economic associations in Germany.

The event was attended by Nurlan Onzhanov, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Germany; Peter Tils, co-chairman of the Business Council for Strategic Cooperation, a member of the Board «Deutsche Bank»; Andreas Neumann, head of the foreign policy office of the Federal Chancellor; Nicholas Andreas, Department Director of the Ministry of Economics and Technology; Rainer Lindner, managing director of the Eastern Committee German Economy; Peter Stocker, Director of the Association for Cooperation with the countries of Eastern and Central Europe; Rudolf Colm, coordinator of the raw material and technological partnership "RK - German" and etc.

Ambassador N.Onzhanov briefed the participants with the current aspects of the political and socio-economic development of Kazakhstan within the framework of the "Kazakhstan-2050" Strategy, and informed on the main priorities of the bilateral cooperation in context of the agreements reached during the visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Germany in February 2012.

The participants compared the notes and determined main directions of the economic cooperation in the context of commodities and technologies partnerships, implementation of the industrialization programs in Kazakhstan, as well as participation of the German companies in preparation of the specialized exhibition "EXPO-2017" in Astana.
