Kazakhstan’s efforts aimed at creation of conditions for regional coop: K.Tokayev
ASTANA. September 25. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "The efforts of Kazakhstan are aimed at creation of favorable conditions for regional economic cooperation", Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has said at the V General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties in Astana.
"The role of our country as a high-level partner at the world food, energy and communications markets growth. Multibillion project on reconstruction of the Great Silk Rout has been started. West Europe and West China will be connected through Kazakhstan by great transport communications spread to over 8 thousand km", he noted.
Besides, K.Tokayev reminded that Kazakhstan was a founder and actively participates in the work of such regional organizations as the SCO and Eurasian Economic Community.
"Establishment of the SCO was a result of striving of people, historically connected by cultures, languages and trade, to peaceful development, good-neighborhood and cooperation", the Senate Speaker said.
