Kazakhstan's economy to upturn in second half year

ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ - The economy of Kazakhstan is promised to improve in the second half-year, according to the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov who spoke at the sitting of the Government today in Astana.
«During the last five months several indicators of the basic industries have been optimistic, especially those o business activities of some enterprises. This allows us to expect transfer from the economic slowdown to recovery beginning in mid 2009», - The Minister said.
«Provided maximal utilization of the anti-recession funds, we can gain positive results at the end of the year », - he added.
