Kazakhstan, Romania step up bilateral cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan in Romania Daulet Batrashev has met today with Romanian Foreign Ministry's Secretary of State Carmen Burlacu in Bucharest, Kazinform has learned from the Kazakh Embassy in Romania.

At the meeting, Carmen Burlacu stressed that Bucharest attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Kazakhstan as a key partner in the Central Asian region. Romanian diplomat praised Kazakhstan's success in socioeconomic development throughout the years of independence and reiterated Romania's interest in mutually profitable cooperation in various fields. In her words, appointment of the Kazakh Ambassador to Romania will promote further expansion of multifaceted interaction between the two countries. Kazakh diplomat, in his turn, noted high level of bilateral cooperation between the nations and stressed Kazakhstan's commitment to gradual development of constructive and mutually beneficial dialogue with Romania. It was also pointed out that Kazakhstan and Romania share common stance on the issues of international agenda. Ambassador Batrashev thanked Carmen Burlacu for support of Kazakhstan's stance over the temporary seat on the UN Security Council in 2017-2018. In conclusion, head of Kazakhstani diplomatic mission presented his credentials to the Romanian Foreign Ministry's Secretary of State.
