Kazakhstan renders financial and humanitarian aid to Japan - MFA

ASTANA. April 11. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan renders financial and humanitarian aid to Japan. Official Spokesperson of the Kazakh MFA Askar Abdrakhmanov has informed of it at a briefing today.

"The Government of Kazakhstan took a decision to allocate USD 1 mln and send 33 tons of meat and canned products to Japan", A. Abdrakhmanov said.

He added that the funds were transferred to the Red Cross Society of Japan. A special plane of the Ministry of Emergencies with canned products and meat will be sent to Japan tonight.

According to Abdrakhmanov, over 20 years Japan has provided about USD 1 bln grants and loans to Kazakhstan for socio-economic development of the country.
