Kazakhstan recons on Iran's support in OIC chairmanship: K.Tokayev
ASTANA. June 24. KAZINFORM Chairman of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Ambassador of Iran to Kazakhstan Gorban Seyfi.
The Speaker congratulated the Ambassador on assumption of office and expressed assurance that his work as the Head of the Iranian diplomatic mission in our country would promote further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between two states, the press service of the House reports.
Complimenting stable character of bilateral relations development K.Tokayev emphasized the importance of development of interparliamentary dialogue.
The Speaker expressed gratitude for the invitation of Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani to visit Iran.
Kazakhstan will chair the Organization of the Islamic Conference next year. "We recon on the support of Iran as powerful Islamic state in this important mission", K.Tokayev said.
Gorban Seyfi highly appraised the role of our country as the regional leader and spoke for further development of the Kazakh-Iranian cooperation including the interparliamentary contacts.
According to the diplomat, Kazakhstan and Iran have great potential for essential increase of the trade turnover, successful interaction in many dimensions.
