Kazakhstan ranks in top 50 in 2014’ Global Competitiveness Rankings
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - September 3, 2014 the World Economic Forum (WEF) released its annual Global Competitiveness Report 2014-2015, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of National Economy.
Kazakhstan ranked 50 in the Global Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum. Kazakhstan is in the group of countries with a higher level of development. Switzerland retains its 1st place position again this year as a result of its continuing strong performance across the board. Singapore remained the second-most competitive economy in the world followed by the USA, Finland and Germany. In the Global Competitiveness Index of the World Economic Forum (GCI) 2014-2015 the number of countries analyzed was 144 (in the previous year - 148). Tajikistan returned in this year's ranking. The Report series remains the most comprehensive assessment of national competitiveness worldwide.
