Kazakhstan ranks 1st among Central Asian states on investment attractiveness – Economy Minister
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan ranks 1st among Central Asian states on investment attractiveness, this has been reported today by the Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Yerbolat Dossayev.
"According to Ernst & Young, leading consulting company in the world, Kazakhstan ranks first among Central Asian states and second among CIS on attractiveness for foreign investors", said Y.Dossayev at the investment conference in the framework of the meeting of ADB Board of Governors. According to his words, with the period of 2005 - 2013 Kazakhstan has been able to attract about USD 183.7 billion of gross foreign direct investment. "The growth rate of Kazakhstan's GDP occupies a leading position among the CIS. In addition, our country is among the top five fastest growing economies in the world with GDP growth set at 6 % in 2013", said the Minister.
