Kazakhstan ranked 1st in int'l education development index
ASTANA. August 21. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakhstan Ministry of Education and Science is carrying through an active work on integration of the national education into the World Educational Community; Representative of the Ministry Serik Irsaliyev has said.
According to him 60 educational agreements with 28 states and international organizations were concluded at present including over 70 international research agreements with 35 states and international organizations respectively. Over 150 Kazakh research and educational organizations have close ties with foreign partners.
"This year Kazakhstan for the first time has been awarded the top assessment of the international experts - the first place on education development index (EDI). The EDI evaluation covers the following parameters: coverage of universal primary education, literacy rate, gender parity and ratio of graduated secondary school students", - S. Irsaliyev said.
