Kazakhstan presents investment potential of its chemical industry in Germany

BERLIN. December 15. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan presented investment potential of its chemical industry in Berlin and Munich.

Investment projects of the industry were presented by a Kazakh delegation headed by Kairat Karmanov, deputy chairman of the board of "Kazneksinvest" JSC. The delegation also included the heads of Kazakhstan's leading chemical companies "Kazphosphate" LLP, "Caustic" JSC, "Kazakhstan Center of comprehensive utilization of ammunition "Nitrohim" LLP , "Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries" LLP, "Chemical Park Taraz" FEZ (free economic zone).

The visit to Berlin was arranged with the support of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Embassy in Germany. In Berlin, the Kazakh delegation met with leading chemical companies of Germany at a "round table" to present investment projects of domestic chemical industry as well as the investment potential of Kazakhstan regions.

During a panel discussion after the round-table meeting, the parties talked over issues of Kazakh -German cooperation in the chemical industry and prospects for their further development. Kazakh and German companies interested in cooperation held bilateral meetings and negotiations.

The delegation of "Kazneksinvest" JSC also held in Munich talks with the leadership of the Association of Bavarian entrepreneurs and Bavarian companies showing interest in investing in the Kazakh market.

The chemical Industry in Germany is a most important sector in German economy, the annual turnover of which totals 150 billion euros and the export potential is more than 80 billion euros.
