Kazakhstan population increased by 103 thousand

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan population amounted to 17.264 million people as of June 1 the current year, this was announced today at a briefing in Astana by Statistics Agency chairman Alikhan Smailov.
"From the beginning of the year, Kazakhstan population has increased by 103,000 people or 0.5%. For 5 month of 2014 the Civil Registration Office has registered 160,000 births, which is 0.6% more than the same period of the previous year", said A. Smailov. At the same time, the number of deaths was 55,000 people, which is 7.2% less than in 2013.
