Kazakhstan plans to produce 83 mln tons of oil in 2014

ASTANA. August 28. KAZINFORM In 2014, it is planned to increase the volume of oil production in Kazakhstan to 83 million tons with the following growth up to 110 million tons in 2018, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev told a meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan.

The gross value added of the industry will grow at a rate of 2.7% to 6%. Trade growth will be 9.8%, transport and communication services will grow on average 7.0%.

The exports of goods will decline by 4.2% in 2014, "mainly due to lower projected oil prices."

According to the Minister, the expected consumer and investment demand in the economy will help to increase imports from 58.6 billion U.S. dollars in 2014 to 93 billion dollars in 2018.
