Kazakhstan planning active cooperation in environmental protection within OSCE

ANA. February 25. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Within the framework of the OSCE Kazakhstan is planning to actively cooperate with other countries in the sphere of environmental protection. Chief of the Department of International Environmental Standards Implementation of the Kazakh Ministry for Environmental Protection Alexander Bragin has said it at the meeting of the Consultative Council on the threshold of the 6th Ministerial Conference on Environment and Development in Asia and the Pacific on February 25.

The cooperation will be realized in the following directions: resolution of cross-border environmental problems on the basis of the sustainable development principles, environmental aspects of transit-transport corridors development in the Eurasian space, effective use of renewable energy sources, the Ministry's representative noted.

He also reminded of the state program "Path to Europe" aimed at developing multilateral cooperation with the European countries, including the environmental sphere, which was adopted this year.
