Kazakhstan Petroleum held briefing in Almaty
ALMATY. August 28. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Kazakhstan Petroleum Association has held a briefing for journalists today in Almaty. The experts and scientists of the Center for Analysis of Social Issues, as well as the experts of the Association, international organizations and audit companies participated in the briefing.
The Association represents the interests of about 60 Kazakhstan and foreign companies from 20 countries worldwide engaging in hydrocarbon production. Principal aspects of the development of oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan, investment climate, development of the tax legislation, key moments of supposed changes in legislation on subsoil management were on the agenda of the seminar.
Partner of DentonWildeSapte Company Almas Zhayulgan informed that the Kazakh Parliament is considering the draft law on subsoil management replacing three acting laws: "On oil", "On subsoil management" and "On agreement on production sharing in the course of oil operations in sea". The draft law is aimed at best integration of laws and subordinate acts, extending of authority of the state bodies and etc.
Informing of the conception for the development of oil and gas industry Co-Chairman of 'Kazakhstan Petroleum' Committee on local content Timurlan Altayev noted that personnel training, modernization and opening of new production for the issue of quality production as well stimulation of the national oil and gas production export is carried out at present.
