Kazakhstan opens Honorary Consulate in Mozambique

The Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan has opened its doors in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. Businessman Dino Mamudo Foi was appointed the Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Mozambique, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported Oct 17.

The opening of the Consulate became an important event for the Kazakhstan-Mozambique bilateral relations.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Mozambique Yerkin Akhinzhanov, representatives of local business, cultural and scientific communities, mass media, diplomatic corps and Kazakhstani citizens living in Mozambique participated in the ceremony.

Taking the floor, Yerkin Akhinzhanov emphasized the importance of the event noting that it marks a new stage in the development of the two countries’ relations.

The Kazakh diplomat expressed confidence that the Consulate would become a key platform for deepening investment and trade-economic cooperation, and will contribute to strengthening the cultural and humanitarian ties between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Mozambique.

In turn, Dino Mamudo Foi thanked the Kazakh side for trust and confirmed his readiness to contribute to the bilateral cooperation development, to boost interaction in various spheres, as well as to protect rights and interests of the nationals of Kazakhstan in his consular district.
