Kazakhstan observes industrial output growth

ASTANA. June 17. KAZINFORM /Askar Bimendin/ The Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs of growth of domestic industrial output in all regions of the republic. Thus, in some regions development indices hit 30% against the last year parameters, Kazinform quotes Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Murmukhambet Abdibekov as saying today.

According to him, this is very encouraging and the Government expects that the country's industrial output will reach 6% by the yearend.

Production of iron ore significantly grew in January-May, 2010 having reached 130.3%. Crude oil production rose up to 107.8% and coal production made 105.1%.

As for processing industry, its growth made 20.2% over the mentioned period. Production of foods and beverages, non-metal mineral products, oil products, electric equipment, transport vehicles, products of chemical, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy rose too.
