According to him, industrial-logistics centre performs several functions and was built for solution of several tasks. First, the centre provides cargo service both within the country and for the Central Asian region and Customs Union. Secondly, the centre establishes new production facilities and has all necessary infrastructure conditions for this.

"Thus, we combine production and logistics which cheapens production process and cost of the products. For example, Mediateks Headgear Factory expands its production capacity today. Several productions are to be launched soon. Among them are Asia Parket and Sonik domestic companies which will produce construction materials", S. Toylybayev said.

The businessman believes that Kazakhstan's geographical location and its proximity to China predetermines the conditions of cargo delivery to Europe from the Southeast Asia. "CU member states benefit from customs clearance of the goods coming from these countries", he stressed.

"Western Europe-Western China transport corridor gives a great chance to Kazakhstan to develop its business and economy. The wealth of our country is not only in its resources but on the ground. One of them is our transit potential and today we must use it as much as possible", he added.

As earlier reported, Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has visited today Almaty region and surveyed Damu Logistics Centre.
