AKTAU. January 24. KAZINFORM In his State-of-the-Nation Address President Nursultan Nazarbayev mentioned Kazakhstan needs to add one more oil refinery to the existing ones. Governor of the Mangystau region Alik Aidarbekov believes that the province may be considered as a location option.
"Given that our region is one of the engines behind Kazakhstan's extractive industry, we hope that it will be considered as a promising location. A work group has been formed on my instruction in order to make a case. It includes scientists, oil and economic experts who are to review the current economic situation and future prospects," Mr. Aidarbekov said.
