DUBAI. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan may become a global food security centre," President Nursultan Nazarbayev told addressing the Global Islamic Economic Forum in Dubai.
As stated there, Kazakhstan's total agriculturally used areas stand at 90 mln ha. Besides, the President noted that Almaty will become a key link of the Great Silk Road global project to bridge China and Western Europe. "We position Almaty as a regional hub of Islamic financing for the CIS and Eastern European countries. We adopted the relevant laws to let Islamic tools work," the Head of State stressed.
