Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Agreement on Allied Relations to be amended
ASTANA. February 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Draft Law On ratification of the Protocol on amendments to the Agreement on Allied Relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as of December 25, 2003 has been discussed at a plenary session of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Defense and Security today.
"The Protocol was signed by the heads of the states on April 17, 2008 in Astana. Adoption of the Protocol was conditioned by the necessity of bringing the Agreement in line with the state of allied relations between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan as well as for elimination of some shortages in the text of the document", Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Yermekbayev has said presenting the bill.
After discussion the Committee decided to submit the bill for the Senate's consideration.
