Kazakhstan key trade partner of Stavropol Territory

ALMATY. June 6. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan is one of the key trade partners of the Stavropol Territory of Russia, representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stavropol Territory Marina Popova told in an exclusive interview to Kazinform correspondent in Almaty.

"Over the 2011 the external turnover between the Stavropol Territory and Kazakhstan reached $36.2 million, export amounted to $28.4 million, import - $7.8 million," M. Popova stated.

She also stressed that among the Central Asian countries, Kazakhstan is the biggest partner of the Stavropol Territory in terms of external trade.

"As of 1 January 2012, Kazakhstan has invested $22.9 million into the Stavropol Territory or 4.7% of the total volume of foreign investments into its economy," she added.

Ms.Popova took part in the Russian-Kazakh exhibition "EXPO Russia-Kazakhstan-2013" in Almaty.
