Kazakhstan, Italy discuss legal coop
ASTANA. July 9. KAZINFORM First Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Johann Merkel met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Kazakhstan Alberto Pieri on Monday (July 9) in Astana, Kazinform has learnt from Prosecutor General's Office.
J. Merkel informed Ambassador Pieri of principal activities of the Prosecutor General's Office and noted that expansion of the international legal cooperation both at bilateral and multilateral level was of paramount importance for agencies exercising regulatory oversight.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral legal cooperation during the meeting. In particular, they focused on legal help that can be rendered during the transfer of convicted offenders between Italy and Kazakhstan. The parties reiterated interest in further expansion and strengthening of all-round cooperation.
