Kazakhstan is up in Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has improved its standings in the Index of Economic Freedom published by the Heritage Foundation and is currently placed 67th out of 185 countries, the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning reports.
The Heritage Foundation especially highlighted notable improvements in Kazakhstan in business freedom (54th place), monetary freedom 113th place) and investment freedom (132nd place). As in last year, Kazakhstan is still between Ghana and Montenegro. "Kazakhstan landed its place in the top 50 based on three international rankings," Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev noted summing up results of the Government's work aimed at raising country's competitiveness in 2013. The Index of Economic Freedom published by the Heritage Foundation, Washington's №1 think tank, covers 10 freedoms - from poverty rights to entrepreneurship.
