Kazakhstan invites German businessmen to participate in its economic modernization

BERLIN. KAZINFORM The 2nd international economic conference EastForum Berlin 2014 initiated by UniCredit financial group and the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations took place in Berlin.

Kazakh Ambassador to Germany Nurlan Onzhanov headed the Kazakh delegation. Addressing those attending the Kazakh diplomat stressed that Kazakhstan, adhering to the multiple-vector approach in the development of foreign economic relations, has initiated the idea of Eurasian integration and participates in many economic alliances in the region and abroad. He also informed the German business circles of the attractive investment and business opportunities of Kazakhstan in the light of the priorities of the President's Address and called them to take an active part in the process of modernization and industrialization of the country's economy. The forum is purposed to create a dialogue platform for regular meetings between the politicians and leading entrepreneurs in an effort to debate urgent issues on closer economic cooperation. Problems and prospects for cooperation between the EU and the Customs Union, progress of realization of the Eastern Partnership programme, Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO were placed on the agenda this year. It gathered above 250 representatives of government and business circles from 19 countries of Central, Southeastern and Western Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus.
