"Even if such countries as Azerbaijan and Georgia are the members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe then Kazakhstan with its European territory ranging from the Caspian Sea must inherently be the part of the PACE. We believe, the country has all prerequisites to be a full-fledged member of the Council of Europe," Elsa Papadimitriou told journalists after the talks with Kazakh Foreign Affairs Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov.

As earlier reported, Kazakhstan has already applied for the status of an observer country of the PACE.
