Kazakhstan intends to implement automated registration of school libraries - Sarinzhipov
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - It is planned to implement automated recording of books in school libraries in Kazakhstan, Minister of Education and Science Asslan Sarinzhipov has said during the Government hour in the Mazhilis of the Parliament. Kazinform refers to the website of the Prime Minister.
He also noted that the mechanism providing textbooks and teaching aids provides for an additional purchase of textbooks at the end of two years of a four-year cycle of not more than 20% of the projected contingent of students.
In addition, the minister said, when providing schools with textbooks, the most vulnerable stage is the delivery of textbooks to schools.
The MES has developed instruction providing a mechanism to replenish and upgrade the collections of libraries and sent to the regional Department of Education and governorates.
"The instruction also regulates measures to ensure the preservation and inventory of the book fund. In this regard, planning of the budget for the purchase of textbooks, and the fitting of library funds is made in view of migration and population growth, " Sarinzhipov said.
He stressed that the need for more accurate prediction of the textbooks will effectively form the foundations of school libraries.
The Minister said that today Akimats in all regions have already signed contracts with publishers.
