Kazakhstan increased meat export to EEU 6 times
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan increased meat export to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union 56 times over the period of 2012-2014, Deputy Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Timur Zhaksylykov told during the CCS media briefing today.
He also noted that the export of beef to Russia increased in 2014 from 290 tons to 2042 tons compared to 2013. In terms of money, the products exported in 2013 totaled 1.4 million US dollars and in 2014 it amounted to 9 million US dollars.
"It is quite obvious that the figures are big enough so far, but what important is a tendency and the speed of growth of our export. I think we will see an increase this year as well," T. Zhaksylykov added.
According to him, the export of pork increased 17 times, from 60 to 1024 tons, and poultry - two times, from 2620 tons to 5292 tons.
