Kazakhstan has high level of interoperability - William Webster

ALMATY.  September 25. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ Kazakhstan's contribution to fight with terrorism is of great importance, Commander of Ground Forces of the US Central Command Lieutenant-General William Webster has said at the ceremony of closure of Steppe Eagle-2009 International peacekeeping exercises on lli polygon of the Airmobile troops of the Kazakh Armed Forces today.

According to W. Webster, Kazakhstan is one of NATO's key strategic partners. One of the main components of the NATO-Kazbat partnership is achievement of interoperability of the Kazbat with the units of the Alliance's Armed Forces. "NATO highly appraises participation of the Kazakh peacekeeping forces in Iraq. Kazakhstan has high level of interoperability and its participation in peacekeeping missions in conflict areas promotes cooperation of Kazakhstan and NATO in military sphere", the US Commander stressed.
