ASTANA. January 13. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan ground activities of three terror groups to a halt in 2013, Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov said at the Government's hour at the Majilis Monday.
"28 criminal, terror-related cases were filed in the republic over the last year. We put a stopper on the activities of three terror groups in the cities of Astana and Atyrau, as a result 24 participants were arrested and indicted," Minister Kassymov said.
In his words, thousands of leaflets, various extremism-related materials in paper and electronic formats and computer equipment were confiscated as well.
