Kazakhstan Government amends the rules of entry and exit for immigrants

Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan Astana, Ukimet Uyi as of June 11, 2014 № 639 On introduction of changes and additions to the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 21, 2012 № 148 "On approval of rules for entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rules of migration control, and registration of foreigners and stateless persons illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, illegally staying on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as persons who are denied entry to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan" In accordance with Article 22 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 19 June 1995 "On the legal status of foreigners" and Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 22, 2011 "On migration", the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan RESOLUTES: 1. To amend the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 21, 2012 № 148 "On approval of rules for entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rules of migration control, and registration of foreigners and stateless persons illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, illegally staying on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as persons who are denied entry to the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SAPP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2012, № 29, Art. 388)" as follows: To amend the Rules of entry and stay of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by this decree: the first part of paragraph 5 to read as follows: "5. Immigrants enter the Republic of Kazakhstan and depart from the Republic of Kazakhstan through border checkpoints open for international passenger services on passports or equivalent documents (hereinafter - the passport) on the basis of visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan unless otherwise specified in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and / or international agreements ratified by the Republic of Kazakhstan. "; add section 1.2 to read as follows: "2-1. Order for entry and residence of citizens of some foreign countries in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan 15-1. Nationals of the following countries - the United States, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Federal Republic of Germany, the French Republic, the Italian Republic, Malaysia, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Korea and Japan within the period from July 15, 2014 to July 15, 2015 may enter the Republic Kazakhstan and exit from the Republic of Kazakhstan without a visa if their stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan shall not exceed fifteen calendar days from the date of crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 15-2. Bodies of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in applying for an extension of stay on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than fifteen calendar days for business purposes of nationals referred to in paragraph 15-1 of the Regulation, in accordance with legislation shall issue single entry visa of "business" category for up to thirty calendar days. 15-3. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the presence of the application of the authorized body on investments, confirming the status of the investor of the national referred to in paragraph 15-1 of the Regulation in the manner prescribed by law shall issue single entry visa of "investor" category for up to ninety days and multiple-entry visas for up to three years". 2. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall direct through diplomatic channels a notice to the States referred to in the Rules of entry and residence of citizens of some foreign countries in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 21, 2012 № 148. 3. National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan (on agreement), the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Syrbar" (as agreed), the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall take appropriate actions arising from the Resolution within one month. 4.
