Kazakhstan, Germany to establish strategic business council
ASTANA. July 18. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakhstan and Germany will establish a business council for strategic cooperation. A corresponding memorandum will be signed at the Kazakh-German business forum in Astana on July 18.
According to the press service of the National Welfare Fund 'Samruk-Kazyna', the memo is aimed at further strengthening and developing economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany within the framework of the agreements reached at the sitting of Kazakh-German intergovernmental working group for economy and trade on May 6, 2010.
The strategic business council will be a coordination and consultative body responsible for promotion of business contacts between organizations and companies. Besides, it will help eliminate barriers hindering the expansion of trade-economic cooperation.
The business council will direct efforts on the development of such priority economy sectors as agriculture, food industry, light industry, machine building, chemical industry, biotechnologies, traditional and alternative energy, construction industry, pharmaceuticals, IT, space industry.
