Kazakhstan, Germany plan to increase trade turnover till $10 bln - Nazarbayev

ASTANA. July 18. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan and Germany are planning to increase bilateral trade turnover to USD 10 billion. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has made it public at a press conference after the meeting with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel in Astana.

"Presently our trade turnover makes USD 3 billion. In the near future we are planning to increase it to USD 10 billion", N. Nazarbayev said.

The Head of the State considers that "the good indicators of economic growth in Germany and 8% economic growth in Kazakhstan in the first half-year show that our economies come out of the crisis and we have good prospects of trade relations."

The President noted that German companies invested USD 3 billion in Kazakhstan while Kazakh companies invested USD 4 billion in Germany.
