Kazakhstan, EU steadily developing lasting relationships, says FM Nurtleu
Kazakhstan and the European Union have been steadily developing lasting relationships based on mutual trust, respect and shared priorities, Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu said during a meeting with High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice President Josep Borrell, who is on his official visit to Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
Our country attaches special attention to today’s visit of Mr. Borrell. It’s known that our guest previously visited Astana (in November 2022). I myself traveled to Brussels in May last year (May 15-16, 2023). Today, we’re meeting for a fourth time. It can be safely said that the dynamics of our contacts is another indication of high-level cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU, said Nurtleu during a press conference.
Nurtleu went on to add that Kazakhstan and the European Union have been steadily developing lasting relationships based on mutual trust, respect and shared priorities over the past few years.
As for the talks held previously, we’re especially grateful for their productive, open and constructive nature. Today, the main goal is to seek mutually beneficial solutions, ways to proceed further in order to fulfill the Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Kazakhstan and the EU, added the minister.
He also expressed confidence that the agreements reached will give a new impetus to further strengthening of all-round ties.
