Kazakhstan enters top 10 of UN Online Services Index
According to the UN, Kazakhstan is among the world’s top 10 countries of the Online Service Index (OSI), which assesses the availability and quality of public services provided via Internet. This index reflects both the breadth of services and the completeness of online interaction, including the submission of applications by citizens and receiving the final results, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from Energyprom.kz.
In 2024, South Korea was the top-ranked country with the highest score (1), while Eritrea was at the bottom of the list with the lowest score (0).
Kazakhstan occupies the 10th position in the OSI ranking, a commendable achievement that placed it in close proximity to Japan, a nation renowned for its technological advancements.
For comparison, the closest country in the list among the CIS and Central Asian states is Armenia, which is ranked 53rd. Russia is placed 56th, Uzbekistan 59th, Kyrgyzstan 89th, and Turkmenistan was among the outsiders, in the 172nd place.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan has taken 24th place in the UN e-government world ranking.
