Kazakhstan enjoys first victory in second round of Hopman Cup in Australia

As the press service of the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation informs, our tennis players won over Russia with the score of 2:1.

In the first game Yaroslava Shvedova was defeated by Yelena Dementyeva 3:6, 1:6. After then Andrey Golubev won over Igor Andreyev of Russia 6:4, 6:3. In a final doubles match game Golubev and Shvedova beat Andreyev and Dementyeva 7:6, 6:4.

Thus, Kazakhstan shares with Russia the second place in Group B. Earlier, British team won over Germany (2:1). In the third tournament Kazakhstan will play against Germany.
