Kazakhstan Engineering JSC strengthens coop with Russian military-industrial complex enterprises
ASTANA. March 20. KAZINFORM - In the framework of the working visit of Kazakhstan Engineering delegation, headed by the chairman Bolat Smagulov to Moscow there were held a number of meetings with the leaders of the defense industry of the Russian Federation.
It has been reported by the press-service of Kazakhstan Engineering " JSC.
In particular, there were talks over further deepening cooperation in the modernization of weapons and the development of engineering and technology transfer with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D. Manturov, Deputy Chairman of the Military Industrial Commission of Russia O. Bochkarev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Alexander Fomin, and with the management of "Scientific and Production Corporation "Uralvagonzavod " OJSC.
During the meetings, the sides agreed to establish on the basis of JSC "Tynys" (Kokshetau city of Kazakhstan) certification centre on personal protective equipment (body armor, helmets, shields). The Russian party expressed readiness to assist in the opening of this center and ballistic laboratory, transfer of technical and procedural documentation, and training Kazakh specialists as well.
Along with that the sides confirmed their interest in enhancing the interaction between defense enterprises of the two countries. The proposals made by the representatives of the Kazakh delegation found understanding on the side of MIC management.
It should be noted that the issues concerning strengthening of bilateral military and military-technical development have been discussed at the talks between the defense ministries of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation in January 2013.
