Kazakhstan Development Bank plans to attract $2bln of investments in 2011

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "Development Bank of Kazakhstan is planning to attract at least USD 2 billion of investments this year," Chairman of the Board Gali Iskaliyev said at a board meeting of Industry and New Technologies Ministry on Tuesday in Astana.
Besides, the Bank intends to repay the most expensive loans to the total amount of USD 1.7 billion. G. Iskaliyev noted that in 2011 the Bank would strengthen cooperation with foreign export credit agencies and attract Islamic finance.
The Bank also plans to increase its loan portfolio to USD 3.9 billion or by 30%, complete and continue financing of 18 projects, start financing of 5 new projects.
