W YORK. September 21. KAZINFORM "Kazakhstan demonstrates its commitment to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals," said Nursultan Nazarbayev addressing today the 66th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
"After the Soviet Union break-up, we have been able to move to the forefront in terms of the pace of reforms and economic growth."
"Besides, Kazakhstan has called on to adopt a Global Energy and Environment Strategy and has put forward a large-scale "Green Bridge" environmental initiative. We plan to bring these ideas to the Millennium Summit which will be held in Rio de Janeiro next year," the President highlighted.
