Kazakhstan, Czech Republic step up cooperation in criminal matters

ASTANA. June 6. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic have inked the agreement on mutual assistance in criminal matters.

The document was signed in the Kazakh capital - Astana between the Prosecutor's General Office of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic on 6 June.

The signing ceremony took place within the framework of the visit of Pavel Blažek - Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic - to Kazakhstan.

In line with the new agreement, the Kazakh and Czech authorized agencies will be able to assist each other in terms of criminal sanctions, collection of evidence, penal actions, and so on.

According to Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev, the two countries are to sign the agreement on extradition in the nearest future as well.
