Kazakhstan created conditions for unbiased monitoring of parliamentary elections - SCO observers

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The observers mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) lauded the parliamentary elections held in Kazakhstan on Wednesday (October 1).
"The organizational work and awareness campaign conducted by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Kazakhstan in the process of the elections to the Kazakh Senate are superb. According to members of our mission, the CEC created all necessary conditions for unbiased monitoring of elections," head of the mission and SCO Deputy Secretary General Makhmadsharif Khakdodov said. "The mission confirms that the parliamentary elections were held in line with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The election process was transparent, alternative and democratic," he added.
